After 2 years of mountainbiking, I think it’s time to start recording my little mtb adventures.

This is how it all started: in summer 2008, for the first time in my life, I sat on a mountain bike. And I loved it. However, a year had to pass before I started cycling on a regular basis, in summer 2009. In March 2010 I took part in my first race and came 3rd – that was a beginning of a very successful season ended with 1st place in Irish NPS and with 1st at the Nationals. After that I focused on my job and on the postgraduate course in Applied Building Repair and Conservation in Trinity College, which together with some health issues resulted in nearly a year off the bike. I did only a few races in 2011, just to realise what such a long break meant.

And now we’re just back from Bontrager 24/12, still buzzing from the race’s excitement, full of adrenaline-driven energy and cycling-related plans. And we’re looking forward to next season, determined to make it a good one.
